Rated 4 out of 5 stars.

This is indeed a “sweet mystery,” to make a play on the words of the title. It is a cozy mystery, as well, with a charming heroine who owns a book store, who has unwanted psychic powers, and whose adorable and witty sidekick is her cat. The humans in the small town of Misty Hollow have a murder mystery to solve, and the town’s felines are simultaneously solving the disappearance of a beloved local cat.

Expect humor, suspense, mystery, romance, and amusing literary references. The story is written first from the human point of view and then, in a shorter version, from the cat’s viewpoint. The language is clean and the romance is wholesome. Readers of all ages will enjoy this Darcy Sweet Mystery and will be eager for others in the series.

An ARC was provided to the reader in exchange for an honest, objective review.
